ABOUT

From leaving school Steve started a career in the RAF where he trained as an electronics engineer including aerial photographic equipment and this is where his passion for photography started. On leaving the RAF he joined the fire service and after 4 years in the UK joined the International Fire Service at Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia. During his service there he was seconded to a film unit making training videos and taking stills of incidents and exercises.
On returning to the UK Steve worked for several photographic companies including taking photographs in John Lewis's Leeds for the Santa's Grotto.
For a short while he went into sales which resulted in a move to Gloucestershire where he once again took up his camera and started photographing local events. Due to illness in the family he returned to Lincolnshire and started up Smile Event Photography.
In July 2008 he also opened his own Studio in Immingham in which he specialises in portraiture, portfolio and wedding photography but the equine event photography is still his favourite type of photography. Whether you need a picture of your family, horse, dog or any other occasion rely on Steve to provide the goods. We have now moved to Lincoln and have a new studio at South Hykeham.
